Colleen has over 37 years of experience in the healthcare field. She began her career as a Registered Nurse (RN), working as a staff nurse, charge nurse and nurse manager in Oncology, Cardiology, and Critical Care. She completed a Master’s Degree in Nursing, became a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Critical Care and functioned as a leader and mentor, providing guidance and education for both nurses and administrators. In her role as Clinical Nurse Specialist, Colleen was involved in the management of patients with critical illness in the areas of Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Infectious Disease and General Surgery. Realizing her love of medicine and a passion for both teaching and learning, Colleen completed another Master’s Degree in Nursing and obtained licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). She has spent the past 20 years managing acute and chronic illnesses and injuries, and providing wound management in the Long Term Care setting. In addition, Colleen has provided clinical education for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and RNs, acted as preceptor for Nurse Practitioner students and APRNs new to Long Term Care. Colleen is now utilizing her knowledge and experience to assist attorneys with cases involving health, illness or injury. She is qualified to assist in any medical related case and works with a network of CLNCs in all fields of healthcare.
